This privacy policy covers the collection and usage of your personal data when you register for or access and use any of our services, unless a different policy is displayed. If you do not agree with this policy, do not access our use our Services. Scagile AG offers the Microsoft Sharepoint based product Scagile as a web application. We refer to this product as “services” in this policy.

What information do we collect?

Collecting of personal data when you access or use our services

We work with third-party service providers to provide application development, hosting, maintenance, backup, storage and virtual infrastructure (Microsoft SharePoint), which may require them to access or use information about you. We do not collect, use, store, secure or transmit any personal data about you, your account and other information you enter into the application, when you use our services/related to the usage of our services. We do not collect any personal data through your interaction with our services.

Collecting of personal data to provide our services

We collect your data only when you provide it to us solely voluntary, for example when you sign up for our free of charge services or purchase our fee-based services, either by registering through our website or by installing our web application through other sources such as distribution platforms and app stores (for example Microsoft AppStore). That could be your contact information, your name and in some cases your billing information such as payment card details.

<br/.>When you download our services from an app store, the app store may require and access your data, for example your name, your contact information, time of download, billing information, device and usage data. This information gets collected by the app store and we do not influence its usage.


With the registration to use our personalized services, some personal data such as name, address, contact and communication information (e.g. phone number and e-mail address) are collected. If you are registered with us, you can access content and services that we only offer to registered users. Registered users also have the ability to change or delete the data entered during registration at any time. At any time, we will also provide you with information on the personal data about you that we have saved. The provision of your personal data is voluntary, based solely on your consent. Without the provision of your personal data, we cannot give you access to our services.


We use this data to provide the service to you; your email address can help us verify your identity when you contact us and require assistance; and to provide information about how to use our services. For as long as you are our customer we may use your e-mail address to contact you regarding the status of the performed services, to send you periodic information about updates and services improvements and special offers. Provision of fee-based services

For the provision of fee-based services, we will request additional data such as payment details in order to complete your order.
The data processing required to finalize the contract is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 (b) GDPR. Recipients of the data may be payment processors. We store these data in our systems until the statutory retention period has ended. Basically, this is 6 or 10 years for generally accepted accounting principles and statutory tax requirement purposes. The provision of your personal data is voluntary. Without the provision of your personal data, we cannot give you access to our content and services.

SSL encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (such as SSL) via HTTPS.

Revision of our privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the privacy policy, e.g. when introducing new services. Your next visit will be subject to the new privacy policy.
